At ARRS we know that an aircraft represents a substantial investment and requires particular care. Our crew is uniquely qualified to perform aircraft rescue, possessing both the experience and specialized knowledge to do the job properly. We have the equipment, expertise, and technical resources to rescue and relocate any type of aircraft. ARRS is staffed by FAA Certified Aircraft and Powerplant Technicians, military personnel, mechanical & technical engineers, certified SCUBA divers and is supported by highly competent advisors, when necessary. ARRS staff members are trained in CFR (Crash, Fire & Rescue) and have attended Aircraft Rescue Training at San Bernardino’s Regional Emergency Training Center.

James H. Strate was born and raised on the Texas Gulf Coast. In the early 1970’s, Jim served his Country in the United States Navy and did a tour in Viet Nam, receiving his initial training as an aircraft technician. After discharge, he attended college and began putting his military training to use in private and corporate aviation.

Jim has over 30 years of aviation experience. He is a FAA Certified Aircraft and Powerplant Technician and he has been a licensed private pilot since 1984. He was SCUBA certified in 1991 and is currently an Advanced Diver with over 500 dives and mixed gas/nitrox certification.

Jim is proficient in military, general and heavy aircraft, and is also well-versed in Airbus equipment. He has run-up and taxi experience, is airworthy and type-rated on most Boeing Aircraft. Jim has been an owner/operator for ARRS (Aircraft Removal and Recovery Services) since 1982. He has recovered both general aviation and narrow body aircraft.

Mike Bogart is an FAA Certified Aircraft and Powerplant Technician with 24 years experience in the aviation industry. He began his career in heavy aircraft fabrication before making a transition to commercial aviation for a major air carrier. His experience spans nearly every aspect of aircraft construction and maintenance. Like Jim, Mike is skilled with several models of Airbus, has run-up and taxi experience, and is airworthy on most Boeing aircraft.

Mike hails originally from the Rocky Mountains. He spent his youth (and his money) mountain climbing, skiing, skydiving, and racing stock cars. In addition to his specialized knowledge and experience, he brings a can-do attitude and a philosophy that preparation, proper tooling, and safety are paramount to doing any job well.
